Drone excluder for the APIDEA Mating Nuc – developed by Wanderimkerei Kolbe
The drone excluder has been specially developed for the APIDEA Mating Nuc and provides a simple and reliable solution for queen rearing. It prevents foreign drones from entering the Mating Nuc and keeps any drones that may have remained inside from leaving.
The drone excluder is inserted directly into the entrance from inside the Mating Nuc. No tools or additional fastening are required. At the same time, it helps protect the entrance from being chewed away, which can contribute to a longer service life of the Mating Nuc.

Application
The drone excluder is installed before the Mating Nuc is populated with bees. It is simply inserted into the entrance from inside the Mating Nuc.
The bees should be sieved before being introduced to ensure that no drones enter the Mating Nuc and block the entrance from the inside.
