APIDEA Top Feeder Brown
Additional feed capacity for the APIDEA Mating Nuc
The APIDEA Top Feeder is made from high-quality hard styrofoam and provides additional feed capacity for the APIDEA Mating Nuc. With a capacity of approximately 1.2 kg of fondant, it is ideal when the queen and colony are to remain in the mating nuc for several weeks.
An integrated excluder allows the bees to access the feed while preventing the queen from entering the feeding area. This keeps the queen safely separated from the feed compartment.
The Top Feeder is simply placed on top of the APIDEA Mating Nuc. In combination with the APIDEA Brood Chamber, the mating nuc can be flexibly expanded for colonies that need to remain in the nuc for a longer period.
The durable hard styrofoam provides good insulation while remaining lightweight and easy to handle and transport.
